I noticed it didn't completely cover the original hole in the bellhousing and left a bottom crescent to the ring gear . Is there a cover of some sort to prevent water , rocks debris etc from entering and possibly trashing the ringear??

Why not just paint the top to match?

If it says the weather stripping is made of "EPDM", avoid it like the plague. Are you running a bead of adhesive in all the channels? You also need to make sure you can roll the windows up all the way with the doors closed.

have the same u nit installed just a couple of days ago and it's amazing - if you replace a 16:9 factory display then you need an extra extension adapter cable that you have to navigate from the rear to the front of the car. I do recommend to add a rear camera and a DAB+ window aerial - game changer head unit !

Guys, do NOT buy this kit he has linked. It's garbage. You will NOT be able to close your doors and windows. You shouldn't have to slam your hatch. There's a plethora of cheap weather strip kits out there which are made from rubber, and not foam. They are FAR too hard. The corners of these things are made of rubber with the consistency of a tire. They are not pliable. You will be wasting your time and money on them, and you'll have to rip the stuff out and put in the real deal. Yes, the real stuff is expensive. Several online corvette retailers have the real stuff. A full body kit for a 84-89 will run you around $700 as of 2024.

The more proper name for these devices would be "wheel crib" vs "jack stand". And square is NOT the way to go on the dimensions for a couple good reasons. First, they are too wide. The cribs stick out from the side of the tire by about 5"; wasted wood. Second (and more critical), they are too short and the tires do not fit into the crib properly. The tire bottom doesn't even contact the crib. This causes all the stress to be lateral on the top two 2x4's. Basically, the wheel (and entire weight of the car) is pushing outward instead of downward toward the floor. Square design made cutting and assembly very simple, but the vehicle weight is not being supported properly (or safely). A better design would be more narrow and longer, so that the tire bottom contacts the 2x4's along the side(s) and weight of vehicle will be transferred to the corners of the wheel crib. The top 2x4's should only chalk the tires to prevent the car from rolling off the wheel crib; not to support the weight of the vehicle. And while I'm sure these will hold up your car for years to come, it is a flawed design (IMO). BTW, I'd suggest dimensions of 12"x20". This provides proper support for most tire sizes and also avoids any wasted wood from 8' 2x4. But you do have to cut long (sides) and short (front/back) wood pieces, and track (alternate) how you place them together. And yes, I'm an engineer.

Etwas, I have a 1989 C4 I have a question for you. When I hit uneven pavement the front of the car shakes like crazy. Since you changed to coilover. Did it make a big difference in the ride quality?

Note, the easiest way to get this belt on/off is to release tension then remove it from the alternator, since it's the smallest pulley. You don't need to loosen anything else. I think this is worthwhile to get all that crap off there, but this kit doesn't match anything in the engine compartment at all.

However 6GB is twice as much as 2GB. Is 2GB enough for apple car play? I only want radio/spotify and google maps. Thanks.

Engines: 86 transitions from flat tappet to roller cam and from iron to aluminum heads, Seats with buttons were sport seats, usually denoting Z51 performance package 86 was also first year for high mounted third brake light 89 was first year with larger seat bolsters 93 was final year for four post air bag steering wheel 88 was first year for brake caliper and rotor hat change that also changed wheel offset I think 89 went from MAF to speed density thereby eliminating the sensor hanging from the front of the throttle body I could keep going but the rest is smaller item stuff Good video
